Offensive Player of the Week
Brian Ackley, Indiana
SO, F, Cary, N.C./Athens Drive

Ackley earns Offensive Player of the Week laurels after being named the Mike Berticelli Memorial Tournament MVP, earning a spot on the All-Tournament Team and leading No. 12 Indiana to a 2-0 record last weekend. The sophomore forward scored two of the Hoosiers' three total goals in the two-game span while dishing out an assist in IU's 2-1 win over UAB. Against No. 8 Creighton, Ackley scored his first career goal after moving from midfield to forward in the off-season, heading a ball in the net after a corner kick from teammate, John Michael Hayden.

Defensive Player of the Week
Dustin Kirby, Ohio State
SR, DEF, Mentor, Ohio/Mentor

Kirby was named Defensive Player of the Week after leading Ohio State to two shutouts at the Bert and Iris Wolstein Classic last weekend in Columbus, Ohio. The Buckeyes' co-captain was named Most Valuable Player and helped anchor an OSU defense that prevented Hartwick from scoring in a 110-minute, double-overtime tie on Friday before defeating Furman, 2-0, on Sunday. Kirby has started all but one game (63) in his career and continues the Buckeye defensive weekly accolade-streak as Ray Burse Jr., earned the final 2005 laurel on Nov. 7.
