The National Soccer Coaches Association of America (NSCAA) released its rankings on Tuesday with Indiana, Maryland, Michigan State and Penn State garnering recognition among the top 25, while Northwestern and Ohio State were also receiving votes.
Maryland led the conference at No. 6 after its opening weekend. The Terrapins will host No. 1 UCLA on Friday.
Indiana came in at No. 18 this week. The Hoosiers are set to play UAB in the Mike Berticelli Memorial Tournament in Notre Dame, Ind., on Friday.
Michigan State claimed the No. 22 spot on the poll. The Spartans are set to host Niagara on Friday.
Penn State came in at No. 25. The Nittany Lions will travel to Temple on Friday.
