The National Soccer Coaches Association of America (NSCAA) released its weekly rankings on Tuesday with Michigan State, Maryland, Indiana and Penn State ranked among the top 25.
Michigan State moved up to No. 7 after spending last week at No. 10. The Spartans defeated SMU and Florida International last weekend, and travel to Illinois-Chicago on Friday.
Maryland claimed the No. 10 spot in this week’s top 25 after defeating No. 17 Coastal Carolina on Monday. The Terrapins entertain No. 14 UMBC on Friday.
Indiana, which received votes in the top 25 poll last week, cracked the ballot at No. 12. The Hoosiers tied No. 9 Georgetown and defeated No. 12 Marquette last weekend. Indiana will play Kentucky at the Mike Berticelli Memorial Tournament in Notre Dame, Ind., on Friday.
Penn State moves into the No. 16 position this week after defeating Oakland and Saint John’s. The Nittany Lions will host Temple on Friday.
