PARK RIDGE, Ill. - Indiana's Kevin Noschang was named the NSCAA's Player of the Week, the organization announced on Wednesday. The junior scored two goals over the weekend as the Hoosiers defeated No. 2 UCLA and tied with No. 9 Maryland.
The forward from Cincinnati, Ohio, netted his first goal of the season on Friday to put his team up, 1-0, on the Terrapins as the Hoosiers eventually settled for a 1-1 tie. On Sunday, Noschang registered the game winner in the 75th minute as Indiana downed the Bruins, 1-0.
Noschang was named to the adidas/IU Credit Union Classic All-Tournament Team on Sunday and received his first career Big Ten Player of the Week honor on Monday.
The Hoosiers are in action this weekend at the Mike Berticelli Memorial Tournament in South Bend, Ind., where they will face Northern Illinois on Friday and Rhode Island on Sunday.
