Indiana, Northwestern and Ohio State Take Home Men's Soccer Weekly Accolades

Parnell Hegngi is the Big Ten men's soccer Co-Offensive Player of the Week.

PARK RIDGE, Ill. – Indiana, Ohio State and Northwestern have earned Big Ten men’s soccer weekly honors as announced on Monday. Eriq Zavaleta and Parnell Hegngi take home Co-Offensive Player of the Week honors, while Tyler Miller earns the nod on the defensive end.

Co-Offensive Player of the Week

Eriq Zavaleta, Indiana
F – Fr. – Westfield, Ind. – Westfield

  • Tallied six points on two goals and two assists in wins over Saint Louis (3-1) and Dayton (6-0)
  • Made the adidas/IU Credit Union Classic All-Tournament Team and was named the tournament’s Offensive MVP
  • Weekend totals marked his first career goals and assists
  • Last Indiana Offensive Player of the Week: Will Bruin (Oct. 11, 2010)

Co-Offensive Player of the Week

Parnell Hegngi, Ohio State
M – Sr. – Silver Spring, Md. – DeMatha

  • Led his team to wins over FIU (3-1) and Stetson (4-2)
  • Notched six points on two goals and two assists over the weekend
  • Earned Wolstein Classic All-Tournament team honors
