Offensive Player of the Week

Jordan Gruber, Michigan State

Gruber was named Offensive Player of the Week after scoring four goals and adding two assists as the Spartans went 3-0 on the week.  The senior forward scored two game-winning goals, one against Bowling Green, in which he added a second later in the game, in a 3-0 victory and the other in a 3-0 win against Western Illinois.  He tallied one goal and two assists against St. Francis (Pa.).  His performance against Western Illinois and St. Francis helped lead Michigan State to the championship at the MSU/Radisson Fall Soccer Classic. 

Defensive Player of the Week

Conrad Taylor, Penn State
FR, GK, Colorado Springs, Colo./Liberty
Taylor was named Defensive Player of the Week after his performance that resulted in two ties for the Nittany Lions against No. 6 North Carolina and No. 8 Wake Forest at the Ohio State Classic this weekend.  The freshman keeper played all 220 minutes and faced a total of 22 shots.  Against North Carolina, he recorded five saves and allowed one goal in a 1-1 game.  Taylor faced 16 shots against Wake Forest and made four saves as Penn State tied the Demon Deacons 2-2 on Sunday.
