ROSEMONT, Ill. – Five Big Ten schools are either ranked or receiving votes in the latest editions of the two major men’s national soccer polls released this week by the United Soccer Coaches (formerly National Soccer Coaches Association of America/NSCAA) and Soccer America.
In the United Soccer Coaches poll, Indiana claims the top spot at No. 1, followed by No. 3 Maryland. Michigan State jumped to No. 6 from No. 13 last week, while Michigan sits at No. 18 after receiving votes last week. Ohio State is now receiving votes.
Four Big Ten teams appear in the latest Soccer America poll. The Terrapins surpass Indiana for the No. 1 spot. The Hoosiers follow at No. 2. Michigan State holds the No. 15 position, while Michigan breaks into the Soccer America poll for the first time this season at No. 23.
