The freshman goalkeeper made two saves and allowed just one goal in a 2-1 overtime victory over Virginia Tech. Taylor registered his second shutout of the season against previously unbeaten Akron, 4-0, as the Nittany Lions went on to claim the Penn State Nike Classic over the weekend.
Jay Nolly, Indiana
SR, GK, Littleton, Colo./Chatfield
Nolly recorded four saves against No. 14 Notre Dame as the Hoosiers shut out the Fighting Irish, 2-0. At the New Mexico Classic, the senior keeper played tough, registering six saves in two games. The Hoosiers lost 1-0 in double overtime against both No. 11 UC Santa Barbara and No. 14 (Soccer America) New Mexico. For his efforts, Nolly was named to the All-Tournament Team.
