Men’s Soccer Offensive Player of the Week
Jake Stacy, Michigan

Stacy led Michigan to one of the best weekends in program history as the Wolverines downed No. 8 Notre Dame, 3-1, and bested No. 20 Indiana in Bloomington, 1-0. Against the Irish, Stacy scored the game’s third goal in the 23rd minute of the first half to give his team the early 2-1 advantage. In Sunday’s matchup at Indiana, the senior forward netted the game’s only goal within the first few minutes of play. Michigan defeated two ranked opponents in back-to-back games for the first time in school history. Stacy is honored with this third career weekly Big Ten award.

Men’s Soccer Defensive Player of the Week
Patrick Sperry, Michigan
Jr., GK, Hinsdale, Ill. / Hinsdale Central
Sperry was instrumental in Michigan’s two upset wins last weekend as the junior goalkeeper allowed only one goal in 180 minutes of play. Against No. 8 Notre Dame, Sperry tallied three saves as the Wolverines defeated the Irish for the first time in program history by a score of 3-1. Sperry and his Michigan teammates then went on to defeat No. 20 Indiana, 1-0, marking the Wolverines’ first win ever over the Hoosiers. The Hinsdale, Ill., native posted five saves and grabbed his 16th career shutout versus Indiana, putting him second all-time on Michigan’s career shutout list. Sperry takes home his third career Big Ten Defensive Player of the Week accolade.
