Men’s Soccer Offensive Co-Players of the Week

Kevin Noschang, Indiana
Sr., F, Cincinnati, Ohio / West Chester
Indiana pulled off an impressive victory last Thursday with a 3-1 upset over No. 9 Notre Dame.  Noschang, in just his second start of the season, punched in the game-winning goal in the 27th minute as the Hoosiers remain unbeaten (2-0-2) against top-25 teams.  Both of the senior’s scores this season have been game winners.  The Cincinnati native picks up his third career weekly accolade.

Last Indiana Offensive Player of the Week: Eric Alexander (9/22/08)

Doug DeMartin, Michigan State
Sr., F, Mason, Mich. / Mason

Michigan State used DeMartin’s two second half goals against No. 14 Illinois-Chicago as a rallying cry enroute to two upset victories.  The Spartans downed the nationally ranked Flames at home by a score of 3-1.  Three days later, MSU carried that momentum with them into No. 18 Michigan as the Spartans claimed the 1-0 win. DeMartin continues to lead the Big Ten in points (28) and scores (13).  The Mason, Mich., native earns his second honor of the season and third of his career.
