Brad Ring, Indiana

Ring netted two of Indiana's three goals this past week in home victories over Evansville and Penn State. The junior Hoosier booted in the game-winning goal against PSU, helping his squad clinch at least a share of the Big Ten title. He now has four scores and 11 points on the season, ranking second for IU in both categories. The Rockford, Ill., native garners his first career weekly award.

Men's Soccer Defensive Player of the Week
Patrick Sperry, Michigan
Jr., GK, Hinsdale, Ill./Hinsdale Central
The Hinsdale, Ill., native shut out No. 17 Akron this past week in a 1-0 home win, setting a new single season record for shutouts at Michigan with eight. On Saturday, the Wolverines squared off against a 10-3-3 Ohio State team, coming up short in a 1-0 defeat. For the week, the junior goalkeeper tallied ten saves; including five in each game. Sperry collects his second career weekly award.
