Balc either scored or assisted in all three of Ohio State's goals last week with a game-tying goal versus Louisville and a game-winning goal accompanied by an assist against Michigan State. The Buckeye senior now leads the Big Ten in assists with 12, and also ranks first on OSU's all-time career assists list with 33. With five points this week, Balc is now third in all-time career points at OSU with 71 (18 goals, 33 assists). The Ohio native's game-winner against MSU was his second and the season of eighth of his career. This marks the third Big Ten Player of the Week honor for Balc.

Chay Cain, Indiana

In 155 minutes of play last week, Cain did not allow a single goal scored against him. Against Kentucky, Cain played 45 minutes and was not forced to save a single shot in IU's 4-0 win. Facing Wisconsin, the junior goalkeeper had five saves in 110 minutes of play for the tie. This game clinched sole possession of the Big Ten title for the Hoosiers and the No. 1 seed in this week's Championships. The Illinois native garners his second Big Ten weekly award.

Horwath helped Wisconsin end a 14-match losing streak to No. 10 Indiana on Sunday with 0-0 tie. The sophomore saved five shots on goal and shut out the Hoosiers despite being out-shot 23-7. Horwath becomes only the second goalie all season to shut out IU. UW will carry the sixth seed heading into the Big Ten Championship where they will face Ohio State in the first round of competition. The Maryland native takes home his second career weekly honor.
