Game 1: No. 4 Northwestern def. No. 5 Penn State, 2-1 (2OT)

Northwestern and Penn State took game 1 of the championship in to double overtime with the Wildcats prevailing 2-1.  Northwestern advances to the semifinals where they will face No. 1 seed Michigan State at 11 a.m. on Friday.

Game 2: No. 3 Indiana def. No. 6 Ohio State, 1-0 (OT)

Indiana needed extra playing time to defeat Ohio State in a rematch of last year's title game.  The Hoosiers prevailed by a final score of 1-0 and advanced to the semifinals, matching up against the winner of game 3.

Game 3: No. 2 Michigan tied No. 7 Wisconsin, 0-0 (Michigan advances in PKs, 4-3)

Michigan advances to the semifinals after a thrilling double overtime shootout where Wisconsin was outscored in penalty kicks, 4-3.  The Wolverines are set to face No. 3 Indiana at 1:30 p.m on Friday.

Friday, November 14

Semifinal No. 1: No. 1 Michigan State def. No. 4 Northwestern, 1-0

No. 1 seed Michigan State defeated No. 4 seed Northwestern in the first game of the semifinals, 1-0.  The Spartans advance to Sunday's title game to be played at Noon CT.

Semifinal No. 2: No. 3 Indiana def. No. 2 Michigan, 1-0

Indiana claimed victory over Michigan in semifinal No. 2 with a final score of 1-0.  The Hoosiers advance to the championship game and play No. 1 seed Michigan State on Sunday at Noon CT.

Championship Game: No. 1 Michigan State def. No. 3 Indiana, 1-0

Michigan State took home its second Big Ten Championship title today as the Spartans defeated Indiana 1-0.  Big Ten Player of the Year Doug DeMartin netted the game's lone score in the 56th minute of the contest.
