Indiana Wins Big Ten Men's Soccer Tournament Title
Hoosiers earn automatic berth into NCAA Tournament

The fifth-seeded Indiana men’s soccer team won its 12th Big Ten Tournament Championship in school history after defeating Michigan State, 1-0, in Sunday’s championship game at Jesse Owens Memorial Stadium in Columbus, Ohio. Earning the Big Ten’s automatic berth into the NCAA Tournament, the Hoosiers will look to defend their 2012 NCAA championship.  

Jamie Vollmer scored the game’s lone goal in the 66th minute, while goalkeeper Colin Webb made six saves to secure the shutout. This is Indiana’s first Big Ten Tournament title since 2006.

The NCAA Selection Show will air live on NCAA.com on Monday, Nov. 18, beginning at Noon ET.

Indiana Wins Big Ten Men's Soccer Tournament Title

The fifth-seeded Indiana men’s soccer team won its 12th Big Ten Tournament Championship in school history after defeating Michigan State, 1-0, in Sunday’s championship game at Jesse Owens Memorial Stadium in Columbus, Ohio. Jamie Vollmer scored the game's lone goal in the 66th minute, while goalkeeper Colin Webb made six saves to secure the shutout.


Big Ten Men’s Soccer Tournament Championship Game Moved to 11 a.m. ET on Sunday

Due to the possibility of inclement weather, the championship game of the Big Ten Men’s Soccer Tournament in Columbus, Ohio, has been moved to 11 a.m. ET on Sunday, Nov. 17. BTN will stream the game live on BTN2Go, and will air the match via tape delay at approximately 2 p.m. ET. Third-seeded Michigan State and fifth-seeded Indiana will play for the Big Ten Tournament title at Jesse Owens Memorial Stadium, with the winner earning a berth in the NCAA Men’s Soccer Championship.


No. 3 Michigan State Advances to Championship Game After Defeating No. 7 Northwestern, 1-0

Michigan State’s Fatai Alashe scored the game-winning goal in the 24th minute, sending the team to the championship game of the Big Ten Tournament for the second straight season. The Spartans will face No. 5 Indiana on Sunday at 2 p.m. ET. The game will be available live on both BTN and BTN2Go.

No. 5 Indiana Bests No. 1 Penn State, 5-3 on Penalty Kicks

Fifth-seeded Indiana took a 5-3 decision on penalty kicks over top-seeded Penn State to advance to Sunday’s championship game. After two scoreless 10-minute overtime periods, the winner was decided by penalty kicks. Indiana's Nikita Kotlov, Femi Hollinger-Janzen, Tanner Thompson, Jacob Bushue and Kyle Sparks all found the back of the net. The Hoosiers will face the winner of the Michigan State-Northwestern match at 2 p.m. ET on Sunday. Indiana will return to the championship match of the Big Ten Tournament for the first time since 2008.

The first semifinal game of the Big Ten Tournament is underway, with No. 1 Penn State taking on No. 5 Indiana. The second game featuring No. 3 Michigan State and No. 7 Northwestern will kick off at 2:30 p.m. ET. Both games will be available live on BTN and BTN2Go.


The semifinal round of the Big Ten Tournament will begin at Noon ET in Columbus, Ohio, with top-seeded Penn State taking on No. 5 Indiana. The second semifinal game is schedule to begin at 2:30 p.m. ET, with No. 3 Michigan State facing No. 7 Northwestern. Follow the games live on BTN and BTN2Go.

No. 7 Northwestern Edges No. 2 Wisconsin, 2-1

Seventh-seeded Northwestern advanced to the semifinals of the Big Ten Tournament after defeating No. 2 Wisconsin, 2-1. The Wildcats scored the first two goals of the game to secure their 2-1 victory, including goals by Grant Wilson and Eric Weberman. Northwestern will face No. 3 Michigan State at 2:30 p.m. ET on Friday.

No. 5 Indiana Tops No. 4 Michigan, 2-1, in Overtime

Michigan took the early lead on a goal by Ezekiel Harris, but Indiana’s A.J. Corrado tied the game at 1-1 in the 62nd minute, sending the match into overtime. In the 96th minute, Indiana’s Dylan Mares found the back of the net, advancing the Hoosiers to the semifinals. Indiana will face top-seeded Penn State in Friday’s first semifinal game at Noon ET.

No. 3 Michigan State Defeats No. 6 Ohio State, 2-0

No. 3 Michigan State advanced to Friday's semifinals after defeating No. 6 Ohio State, 2-0, in the tournament's opening match. After a scoreless first half, Brent McIntosh and Sean Conerty both posted second-half goals. The Spartans will face the winner of the Wisconsin-Northwestern matchup in Friday's second semifinal game at 2:30 p.m. ET.
