Scholar All-America and All-Region

Dec. 15, 2016

Two Big Ten men's soccer players were named National Soccer Coaches Association of America (NSCAA) Scholar All-Americans, while four students were named Scholar All-Region selections as announced by the NSCAA.

Indiana's Grant Lillard, a business major, and Maryland's Cody Niedermeier, a biology major, were tabbed as Second-Team NSCAA Scholar All-Americans after impressive seasons on the pitch and in the classroom.

Lillard was joined on the NSCAA Scholar All-North/Central Region Team by Michigan State's Jimmy Fiscus, a supply chain management major, and Jimmy Hague, an applied engineering sciences major. Niedermeier was the lone Big Ten selection on the NSCAA Scholar All-East Region team.
