Swimmer of the Week

Etherington collects Swimmer of the Week accolades for the first time in his career after claiming six first-place finishes in a dual meet win against Arizona State, 182-165. The freshman and mid-season addition claimed two individual races in the 100-yard freestyle (46.53) and the 100 butterfly (48.80). His time of 48.80 in the 100 butterfly enters Etherington into the Purdue record books with the second fastest time in school history. He went on to help four relays earn first place as the Boilermakers claimed the 200 freestyle (1:23.82), 200 medley (1:30.89), 400 medley (3:20.31) and 400 freestyle (3:03.73) relay events.
Diver of the Week
Ryan Fagan, Indiana

Fagan earns Diver of the Week honors after placing in the top two in both the one and three-meter diving events last weekend. The senior was the runner-up on the one-meter board with a score of 301.28. He then claimed the three-meter event in personal-best fashion with a score of 368.18. Fagan now sits at No. 8 in IU school history in the three-meter dual-meet competition. This is the first weekly honor of his career.
