Ohio State and Purdue Garner Weekly Accolades

Men's Swimmer of the Week Ohio State's Justin Farra earns his second Swimmer of the Week award this season after first place finishes in three events as the Buckeyes defeated Michigan State, 165-123 last weekend. In the 100-yard breaststroke, the senior touched the wall first and earned an NCAA-provisional time of 55.50. Farra's success continued when he took the top spot in the 200 backstroke (1:47.91) and 200 individual medley (1:51.21). Last Ohio State Men's Swimmer of the Week: Justin Farra (Dec. 7, 2010) Men's Diver of the Week Purdue's David Boudia earns his seventh Diver of the Week award this season after taking first place in the platform and 1-meter springboard events against Indiana last weekend. In the platform, he topped the competition with a mark of 531.30, just 6.85 points shy of his school record. The junior's posted a score of 404.55 on the 1-meter board for his second victory. With the two victories last weekend, the Noblesville, Ind., native remains perfect on the season while winning all 20 events he has entered.
