Ohio State and Purdue Claim Weekly Awards

Swimmer of the Week Andrew Langenfeld, Purdue Langenfeld accounted for two of the Boilermakers’ four pool wins this past weekend in a meet against Minnesota and Wisconsin on his way to earning his first Big Ten Swimmer of the Week award. The senior claimed top honors in the 50-yard freestyle and the 100 butterfly in times of 20.18 and 48.67, respectively. Langenfeld also chalked up second-place finishes in the 200 butterfly, touching the wall at 1:49.11, and on Purdue’s fastest 400 freestyle relay of the season, which finished at 3:00.31. Sean Moore, Ohio State Moore swept all three diving events in a quad meet with Michigan, Northwestern and Penn State to garner his first weekly accolade of the season. He set a McCorkle Aquatic Pavilion record with his three-meter (433.35) and platform (464.35) totals. From the one-meter, Moore continued his onslaught on the scorebooks by registering 368.15 points.
