Men's Swimmer of the Week

Savulich piloted the Wolverine swimming and diving program to victories over conference foes Ohio State, Penn State and Northwestern at last weekend's quad meet.  The junior's first-place 100-yard freestyle time of 44.29 hit an NCAA `B' standard time.  His participation on the winning 400 medley relay also notched a `B' standard timing in at 3:15.14.  Savulich also received firsts in the 200 freestyle (1:38.07) and the 200 medley relay (1:29.14).

Men's Diver of the Week

David Colturi, Purdue
Fr., Sylvania, Ohio/St. John's Jesuit

Colturi almost swept the three dive competitions over the weekend, racking up two firsts and a second against Minnesota and Wisconsin.  From the one-meter board, Colturi won with a personal-best score of 347.45, eclipsing the rest of the field by nearly 40 points.  Off the platform, the freshman posted a winning score of 385.25, which now ranks No. 2 all-time in school history.  The Ohio native also scored 343.45 from three meter, placing second behind teammate Kyle Mitrione.  This is Colturi's second career weekly accolade.
