Swimmer of the Week
Matt Grevers, Northwestern
JR, Lake Forest, Ill./Lake Forest
Grevers broke two pool records and brok the oldest-existing NU school record Friday's dual meet action against Michigan.  The junior touched the wall first in an NCAA "A" time of 46.85 in the 100-yard backstroke, breaking his previously set record. He also helped his 400 medley relay team cruise to a win in as the Lake Forest, Ill., native led off the relay with a "B" cut time of 48.40.  Grevers finished second in the 200 backstroke, just .18 behind first place but his 1:42.59 mark was good enough to break a seven-year old Wildcat school record by .11. He wrapped up his performance with his 43.59 "B" mark as he led off the 400 freestyle relay. Grevers has been named Swimmer of the Week three times this season and has now earned the weekly honor...in his career.

Diver of the Week
Steve LoBue, Purdue
JR, Ewing, N.J./Ewing

LoBue, competing against in-state rival Indiana in Bloomington, earned Diver of the Week accolades with two first-place finishes on Saturday.  The junior was the only Boilermaker to win more than one event in the competition as he claimed both the three-meter and platform events. The Ewing, N.J., native recorded 342.38 on the springboard and 314.40 off the tower. This marks his fourth sweep and his 13th and 14th victories this season. LoBue finished the conference season undefeated off the one-meter and earned weekly honors three times during his junior campaign.
