Indiana and Purdue Take Home Weekly Swimming and Diving Honors

Titus Knight, Indiana

Junior Titus Knight touched the wall first in every event he swam last weekend in a dual meet with Purdue. Knight began the meet by registering two NCAA provisional qualifying marks with a win in the 200 free (1:38.05) followed by a victory in the 100 free (44.71). He then posted his third individual top finish in the 500 free with his time of 4:29.36 – the fourth fastest effort of the season by an IU swimmer. He ended the day by taking the Hoosiers to an insurmountable lead on the second leg of the 400 free relay as IU posted a season best time of 3:02.12. This is the third weekly award for Titus this season.

Diver of the Week:
David Boudia, Purdue
So. - Noblesville, Ind. - Indiana

Purdue sophomore David Boudia swept the springboard events against Indiana last week. The Noblesville, Ind., native earned season-best scores in both events. He scored 446.25 points, just four-tenths of a point less than his school and Doris Z. Holloway Pool record, off the one-meter before putting 489.38 points on the board from the three-meter. This is the fourth weekly diving award on the season for Boudia, who holds the record for most Diver of the Week accolades in with 11 overall.
