Big Ten Announces Men's Weekly Swimming and Diving Awards

Swimmer of the Week
Nadav Kochavi, Minnesota
At the Minnesota Challenge this past weekend, Kochavi swept through his individual events and helped the 200-yard medley relay to a first-place showing. All of his times met the NCAA `B' cut standard. In the 100 and 200 butterfly, Kochavi touched the wall first at 47.19 and 1:46.27, respectively, making him the third-fastest Gopher in history in the 100 butterfly. Swimming the backstroke leg of the relay, Kochavi helped Minnesota finish with a time of 1:28.14. The sophomore garners Minnesota's first award of the season and the first of his career.

Diver of the Week
David Boudia, Purdue
Earning his seventh award of the season and adding to his all-time best single-season total, Boudia completed the sweep of the Purdue diving records this past weekend by scoring 462.97 off the platform in a home meet against Indiana. The freshman's platform mark ranks second all-time in Big Ten history. Boudia also won the three-meter competition with a total of 459.97, winning 18 consecutive diving matches this season.
