Michigan and Minnesota Pick Up Men's Swimming and Diving Awards

Minnesota's Mikey Ross was named Diver of the Week.

Sr. – Tokyo, Japan – St. Mary’s International 

  • Posted first-place finishes in all three of his events in No. 2 Michigan’s dual meet victory over Michigan State last week
  • Placed first in the 100-yard backstroke (47.48), 200-yard freestyle relay (1:21.21) and 200-yard medley relay (1:29.74)
  • His time in the 100-yard backstroke was an NCAA provisional qualifying mark
  • Set pool records in each of his races
  • Earns the sixth weekly award of his career and fourth of the season

Diver of the Week

  • Placed first in the three-meter (421.80) and platform (367.85) diving events at the Minnesota Challenge last weekend
  • Both of his scores were NCAA Zone Diving qualifying marks
  • His score on the three-meter was a season best
  • Earns the second weekly award of his career and second this season

  • His time in the 500-yard freestyle was an NCAA provisional qualifying mark
  • Earns the second weekly award of his career
