200-yard Individual Medley

Minnesota senior Adam Mitchell set a pool record in the 200-yard individual medley preliminaries with an A-standard time of 1:46.30 to lead the contenders into tonight's finals.  Ohio State's Nate King posted the second best time in prelims, while Northwestern's Mike Alexandrov set up a championship rematch of last year's 200-IM when he and Mitchell finished second and third, respectively.

Rounding out the field are Indiana's Kevin Swander, Purdue's Roman Maire and Giordan Pogioli, and Brian Tiemeier of Ohio State.  In addition to Michell's A-standard time, 15 provisional qualifying times were met during preliminary competition.
