Through six events, Michigan sits at No. 6 with 84 team points, followed by No. 11 Ohio State with 42 points. Indiana sits in 12th place with 40 points, followed by No. 16. Penn State (13 points). Iowa, Minnesota, Purdue and Wisconsin also received points on the first day of competition.

The Wolverines recorded five top-ten finishes on day one of the championships. In the 500 freestyle, Connor Jaeger (4:15.67) and Sean Ryan (4:17.27) placed fifth and sixth, respectively, while Kyle Whitaker registered a sixth place finish in the 200 individual medley (1:43.91). The Hoosiers' Jason Schnur recorded highest Big Ten finish, placing third in the 50 freestyle (19.46)

Day two of the NCAA Championships will begin with preliminary events of the 200 yard medley relay, 400 individual medley, 100 butterfly, 200 freestyle, 100 breaststroke, 100 backstroke, 3-meter diving and 800 freestyle relay. Finals of these events will begin at 10 p.m. ET.
