Day one of the 2011 NCAA Men's Swimming and Diving Championships is underway as the preliminary events begin at Noon CT at the University of Minnesota Aquatic Center in Minneapolis, Minn.

Competition begins today with the 200 freestyle relay and concludes Saturday, March 26, with the 400 freestyle relay. This year's event will feature 62 Big Ten student-athletes from all ten participating conference institutions. Overall, student-athletes from 41 different schools will compete this week with 235 swimmers and 35 divers taking part at the national meet. Seven Big Ten teams appear among the top-25 in the latest CSCAA rankings. Michigan fronts all schools at No. 7, followed by No. 10 Ohio State, No. 12 Indiana, No. 15 Minnesota and No. 19 Purdue. Penn State and Iowa round out the conference contingent at Nos. 22 and 24, respectively.
