Big Ten Men's Swimming and Diving Season Kicks Off

Oct. 8, 2004

The 2004-05 Big Ten men's swimming and diving season kicks off today with Indiana hosting Texas in its first dual meet of the season.  The Hoosiers finished fourth in last year's Conference Championships and 17th at the NCAA meet.  The Longhorns return 20 letterwinners from a strong team that finished third at NCAAs.

Wisconsin also opens its season today as they host UW-Green Bay and UW-Milwaukee in the Madison Invitational.  Last year, the Badgers claimed fifth at the Big Ten Championships and earned their fourth top-20 finish in as many years at the NCAAs with a 16th-place finish.

The remaining eight League schools will begin their 2004-05 campaigns in the coming weeks.
