Swimmers of the Week

Kevin Swander, Indiana
JR, Greenwood, Ind./Center Grove
Swander earns Co-Swimmer of the Week after tallying one first and three second-place finishes in the Hoosiers' first dual meet of the season against perennial powerhouse Texas.  The junior claimed first in the 100-yard breaststroke in a time of 56.07 and was out-touched by just .03 seconds to finish second in the 200-yard breaststroke at 2:04.04.  Swander was also part of the 200-yard medley relay and 400-yard freestyle relay that finished with times of 1:31.08 and 3:04.38, respectively.

Eric Wiesner, Wisconsin
SR, Montrose, Colo./Montrose
Wiesner collects Co-Swimmer of the Week honors after taking first in all three events in which he competed as the Badgers defeated UW-Green Bay and UW-Milwaukee, 152.5-89.5 and 188-55, respectively, in a double-dual meet format.  The senior was the leadoff swimmer in the 400-yard medley relay that posted a time of 3:33.45.  Wiesner also claimed victories in the 50-yard freestyle and 200-yard backstroke with time of 20.94 and 1:51.02. 

Diver of the Week

Marc Carlton, Indiana
SR, Webster, N.Y./Webster
Carlton was named Diver of the Week after finishing first in both the one-meter and three-meter springboard events against Texas on Friday.  The senior earned marks of 315.90 (1m) and 333.07 (3m) both of which were zone qualifying marks.
