Swimmer of the Week

Todd Patrick, Indiana
FR, Chesterfield, Mo./Marquette
Patrick earns Swimmer of the Week after touching the wall first in two scored events. The freshman won his first crown of the meet finishing first in the 200-yard freestyle in a time of 1:40.89. He also posted a mark of 21.02 to win the 50-yard freestyle. Patrick had the fastest time in a non-scoring effort with a 1:53.63 in the 200-yard backstroke and helped his teammates to a 1:25.13 finish in a non-scored 200-yard freestyle relay. Indiana defeated Evansville, 160-87, and improved its dual meet record to 1-1 on the season.

Diver of the Week

Adam Pierce, Penn State
JR, Conroe, Texas/The Woodlands
Pierce was named Diver of the Week after earning two first-place finishes in the Nittany Lions' season opening win at West Virginia, 150-93. He took first in the 3-meter competition with a national qualifying score of 340.27 and also won on the 1-meter board with a mark of 279.07.
