Wisconsin Sweeps Weekly Men's Swimming and Diving Awards

The conference office announced on Tuesday the second weekly men's swimming and diving awards. Wisconsin's Dan Lester nabbed the weekly swimming laurel while Badger teammate garnered Diver of the Week accolades.
Men's Swimmer of the Week
Wisconsin's Den Lester won the second weekly honor of the 2010-1 season, winning all three individual events in Wisconsin's dual meet against Iowa. Lester, who also swam the third leg of the 200-yard medley relay team that placed second in a time of 1:31.68, took first in the 100- yard butterfly and earned an NCAA provisional time with a 47.86. The sophomore placed first in the 200-yard butterfly event with a mark of 1:48.60, while also capturing first in the 200 individual medley after posting a time of 1:49.46.

Men's Diver of the Week
Sophomore Michael Ross continued his early season success as he swept both diving events in the Badgers' meet against Iowa last weekend. Ross won the 1-meter board with a score of 318.45, and posted a winning mark of 362.77 off of the 3-meter board. This marks the second weekly honor of Ross' career and second by a Badger diver this season as Ross earned the first diving award of the season.
