Park Ridge, Ill. - The conference office announced on Tuesday the third weekly men's swimming and diving awards. Indiana's Eric Ress nabbed the weekly swimming laurel, while Purdue's David Boudia was tabbed Diver of the Week.

Eric Ress won six of the eight events he swam as the Hoosiers picked up dual meet wins on back-to-back days, topping Northwestern and Kentucky. Ress recorded a clean sweep against the Wildcats, taking titles in every event he swam in the season opener with wins in the 200 medley relay (1:31.88), 100 backstroke (49.11), 200 backstroke (1:47.39) and 100 butterfly (49:77). Coming back the following day, Ress won two of his three individual events with a mark of 51.19 in the 100 butterfly and a time of 1:51.67 in the 200 individual medley. The Hoosiers improved to 2-0 on the season. This is Ress' first weekly diving award of his career.

David Boudia - Purdue

Purdue junior David Boudia swept the springboard diving events during Purdue's season opener against Miami (Ohio) last Friday. The Noblesville, Ind., native first claimed the one-meter title with his score of 409.28 points. Boudia then scored 494.93 points off the three-meter to claim his second win of the day. This marks the first weekly diving award of the season for Boudia who has collected 10 laurels during his career as a Boilermaker.
