Swimmer of the Week
Ben Hesen, Indiana

In facing No. 1 Texas and No. 5 Michigan, Hesen recorded seven first-place finishes and tallied five NCAA `B' cut times. Against the Longhorns, the senior swept the 100-yard and 200 backstroke in times of 47.75 and 1:44.73, respectively, notching NCAA `B' standards in both. In the same meet, he aided the Hoosier 200 medley relay team to a winning and NCAA `B' time of 1:28.37. The Jeffersonville, Ind. native's NCAA `B' time of 47.77 in the 100 butterfly was good for third-place. Squaring off against the Wolverines, Hesen swept all four backstroke events meeting another `B' cut time in the 100 back (48.51). This marks the second career Big Ten Swimmer of the Week honor for the Indiana native.

Diver of the Week
Kyle Mitrione, Purdue

Mitrione guided the Boilermakers to double victories last weekend squaring off against Notre Dame, Northwestern and Texas A&M. In Friday's meet, the sophomore diver scored a personal best of 333.50 off the three-meter board which is an NCAA Zone qualifier. On Saturday, Mitrione repeated his first-place performance on the three-meter board scoring 324.10 and was runner-up from the one-meter board, posting a NCAA Zone Qualifying mark of 335.35. The New Jersey native earns his first weekly award.
