Michigan and Purdue Garner Weekly Honors

Park Ridge, Ill. - The conference office announced on Tuesday the fifth weekly men's swimming and diving awards. Michigan's Dan Madwed nabbed Swimmer of the Week honors while Purdue's David Boudia earns Diver of the Week.
Men's Swimmer of the Week
Michigan's Dan Madwed earns his second Big Ten Swimmer of the Week award of his career after earning first-place finishes and NCAA provisional times in every event he competed in this weekend against Indiana and Texas. The junior picked up wins in the 100- and 200- yard butterfly, with times of 47.94 and 1:46.08, respectively. The Stamford, Conn., native also took part in both first-place relay squads, 200-yard medley (1:29.44) and 400-yard freestyle (3:00.09).

Men's Diver of the Week
Purdue's David Boudia earns Diver of the Week as he posted first-place finishes in last weekend's dual meets against Northwestern and Notre Dame. Boudia won the 1- and 3-meter events with scores of 393.45 and 456.23, respectively, against Northwestern on Friday. On Sunday, the junior broke both of his pool records at Notre Dame's Rolfs Aquatic Center, scoring 394.95 from the 1-meter and 473.47 on the 3-meter to win both events against the Irish. This is the second weekly diving award of the year for Boudia, who holds the record for most Diver of the Week accolades in Big Ten history with 13 overall.
