Co-Swimmers of the Week

Eric Nilsson, Northwestern

Nilsson racked up three first-place finishes in a home meet against No. 16 Purdue last Friday.  The senior first won the 200-yard freestyle by over a second, touching the wall at 1:38.07.  He then won the 200 butterfly by a slim .02 margin with a winning time of 1:49.88.  Nilsson completed the hat trick with a decisive win in the 500 freestyle, posting a time of 4:33.11.  The Weston, Mass., native receives his third career weekly laurel.

Aaron Koger, Purdue
Jr., Richmond, Ind. / Richmond

Koger went six-for-six in event firsts this weekend, helping the Boilermakers win on the road against Northwestern (179-122) and Notre Dame (187-108).  Against the Wildcats, Koger set season highs in the 100- and 200-yard breaststrokes, timing in at 55.78 and 2:02.43, respectively.  He also participated on the winning 200 medley relay team which posted a time of 1:31.56.  Versus the Fighting Irish, the junior once again swept the 100 and 200 breaststrokes to remain unbeaten this season and helped the Boilermakers clock a 3:20.78 in the 400 medley relay.  Koger claims his second career Big Ten Swimmer of the Week award.

Diver of the Week

David Boudia, Purdue
Fr., Noblesville, Ind. / Noblesville

Boudia earns his second Big Ten Diver of the Week award this season after helping his Purdue squad earn dual victories this weekend.  Against Notre Dame, the freshman set pool records off both the one- and three-meter boards, totaling first-place points of 373.05 and 440.48, respectively.  Facing Northwestern, Boudia tallied a 375.38 from the three-meter height which was good for second place.
