Swimmer of the Week
Peter Vanderkaay, Michigan

Vanderkaay earns Swimmer of the Week laurels after recording NCAA qualifying marks in all nine events he competed in at the Texas Invitational last weekend. The senior swam three NCAA individual automatic times in the 1,650-yard freestyle (14:48.22), placing first and finished second in the 200 freestyle (1:33.97) and 500 freestyle (4:12.35) events. He also helped his 800 freestyle relay team claim an "A" mark in 6:22.76. Vanderkaay went on to notch two individual NCAA "B" times in the 100 freestyle (44.29) and 400 individual medley (3:48.34) before participating on three automatic qualifying relay teams in the 400 medley relay (3:15.01), 200 (1:20.47) and 400 freestyle relay (2:56.79) competitions.

Diver of the Week
Adam Pierce, Penn State

Pierce collects his fourth weekly Diver of the Week award this year after placing second and third on the one and there-meter diving events, respectively, at the Ohio State Invite last weekend. The senior scored 360.45 points in the one-meter event and 348.70 in the three-meter competition, helping the Nittany Lions claim third out ten teams at the invitational.
