Marshall went 4-0 for the second straight week and gave up only four games in singles action for the Spartans.  At No. 2 singles, he defeated Troy Delmege of Marquette, 6-1, 6-3, and then posted a 6-0, 6-0 win against Cleveland State's Paul Haley. In doubles, Marshall teamed up with Andrew Formanczyk for an 8-4 win over Marquette and an 8-3 win over CSU, both at the No. 1 positions.

This is Marshall's first career Big Ten Athlete of the Week selection.  He is the first Spartan to claim the weekly honor since his doubles partner Andrew Formanczyk earned the award on April 28, 2004.
