Ticer posted two impressive singles wins over nationally-ranked opponents last weekend in Winston-Salem, N.C.  Ticer, ranked 105th in the country, defeated No. 10 Arnaud Lecloerec of Virginia Commonwalth and No. 80 Derrick Spice to improve to 4-1 in the spring season and 11-5 overall.  He downed Lecloerec, 6-3, 6-1, and Spice, 6-4, 6-7, (10-5). With the wins, Ticer moved his record against ranked opponents to 3-1 this season. In addition to his singles wins, Ticer went 3-0 in doubles play with partner Adrien Debreyne.  After wins against Drake and Virginia Commonwealth, the duo defeated 35th-ranked Derrick Spice/Brett Ross of Wake Forest, 8-6. Ticer and Debreyne are now 3-1 this spring.

This is Ticer's third career Athlete of the Week selection as he claimed the honor on April 2, 2003, and March 27, 2002.
