Devin Mullings, Ohio State Mullings, the nation's 42nd-ranked singles player, won two matches in singles and doubles this weekend helping No. 2 Ohio State to its first final in a national tournament in program history at the 2007 ITA/USTA National Men's Team Indoor Championships in Chicago. The Buckeyes beat perennial powers No. 28 Stanford, No. 5 Baylor, No. 6 UCLA en route to the final against top-ranked Georgia. Against Baylor, Mullings and fellow senior Chris Klingemann led the Buckeyes to the doubles point with an 8-3 victory over Lars Poerschke and Matija Zgaga. In singles, he moved OSU to within one point of securing the match with a straight-set win over Matt Brown. In the Buckeyes' come-from-behind win over UCLA, Mullings claimed a hard-fought, three-set triumph over 27th-ranked Chris Surapol to clinch the team victory for Ohio State. With the weekend performance, Mullings improved to 19-3 in singles and 15-7 in doubles on the year. This marks the third weekly selection of Mullings career and the first for a Buckeye since Bryan Koniecko was honored Feb. 7.
