Matko Maravic, Michigan
FR, Zagreb, Croatia/V. Gimnazija

Maravic continued to tear through the dual match season, defeating both of his singles opponents in straight sets and winning one doubles match to lead the Wolverines to a pair of 6-1 victories over Alabama and Cornell.  Maravic was the first off the courts against both schools, posting dominating wins over Alabama's Joseph Jung at No. 2 (6-3, 6-4) and Cornell's Nick Brunner at No. 2 (6-2, 6-2). He teamed with David Anving for an easy 8-1 win at No. 2 doubles against Cornell. The freshman holds a team-best 5-2 dual match singles record and is tied for the team-lead in overall victories in 2004-05 (10-6).

This is Maravic's first career Athlete of the Week honor.  He is the first Wolverine to claim the award since Ryan Heller on March 17, 2004.
