Jeremy Sonkin, Wisconsin
SO, Wheaton, Ill./Warrenville South

For the second-straight week, Wisconsin's Sonkin garners Athlete of the Week honors after keying the Badgers' shut-out of No. 75 Michigan State. The victory marked Wisconsin's first 2-0 start in Big Ten play since 1993 and first back-to-back conference wins since 2004.

Sonkin and Nolan Polley, the Badgers' top doubles tandem, saved five break points before defeating the nation's No. 41 duo, Michigan State's Nick Rinks and Adam Monich, 9-8 (10-8). Sonkin went on to top No. 77 Rinks 6-3, 7-6 in No. 1 singles to clinch the Badger win. Sonkin went undefeated on the weekend, picking up singles and doubles victories against Indiana State to lead UW's second 7-0 sweep of the weekend.

This is Sonkin's second career selection for the weekly honor. He also won the award on Feb. 22.
