Vastag, ranked 84th in the nation, went 2-0 in singles and doubles action last weekend as the Hoosiers won both their matches on the weekend against Marquette and No. 33 Western Michigan. Against the Golden Eagles, Vastag defeated Maria Calbeto, 6-0, 6-0, at the top singles spot. She also teamed with sophomore Celile Perton to claim an 8-2 victory over the Marquette duo of Calbeto and Andrea Bukacek. With each team winning a doubles match, the Okemos, Mich. native along with Perton won the clinching contest against Western Michigan defeating Carrie Jeanmaire and Reedhina Parekh, 8-5, to secure the doubles point for IU. Vastag finished the day posting a 6-3, 6-2 victory over Rattiya Hiranrat at the No. 1 singles position.
Joey Atas, Ohio State

Atas picked up two wins to lead the Buckeyes to victories over No. 22 Virginia Commonwealth and No. 42 Alabama last weekend. Atas, along with partner Drew Eberly, opened the weekend topping the VCU duo of Marton Ott and Sebastian Ripoli, 8-4, in the doubles competition. Playing at the No. 1 singles spot, he followed with another solid performance, upsetting 11th-ranked Arnaud Lecloerec, 6-4, 6-4. The Baltimore, Md. native would clinch his second win over a ranked opponent after downing No. 46 Luigi D'Agord of Alabama, 6-4, 4-6, 7-6 at the No. 1 singles spot. Atas is now 21-8 overall in singles action this season.
