Michigan's Hung claims second Athlete of the Week honor

Complete Release in PDF Format Brian Hung, Michigan Hung claims Athlete of the Week honors for the second time in his career after winning three of his four matches against two of Texas' toughest teams. Against 10th-ranked Texas, Hung fought of Callum Beale's second-set rally to hold on to the upset with a 6-2, 7-6(6) victory over the 34th-ranked player in the country. Hung went on to team with Matko Maravic in the top doubles spot for two more big wins on the weekend, starting with a hard-fought 9-7 triumph over the Longhorns' pair of Beal and Miguel Reyes Varela. The No. 15 tandem also celebrated an 8-4 victory over Texas A&M's No. 21-ranked team of Brett Joelson and Bryan Wooten on Saturday. The win marked their 16th out of their last 20 matches, a string that dates back to the fall season, and improved the duo's record to 6-4 against nationally ranked opponents this season. This marks the second Athlete of the Week selection for Hung this season since he claimed his first career honor on Jan. 25.
