Maravic earns his second Big Ten Athlete of the Week award of the season and his career, after becoming the first U-M freshman in recent history to compete at the No. 1 singles position during Michigan's doubleheader on March 12.  In his career debut at the top singles spot, Maravic claimed a convincing 6-0, 6-3 victory over Butler's James Low to help the Wolverines sweep the Bulldogs in the morning, 7-0.  Maravic followed that performance with a 6-4, 5-7, 1-0 (7) win over Indiana State's Anton Tsymbalov to help U-M defeat the Sycamores, 5-2, later in the evening.  He also went undfeated at No. 1 doubles with Brian Hung. The pair posted an 8-6 victory over Butler's Andy Bartish and Eric Breitenbach, then knocked off ISU's No. 43-ranked duo of Aaron Phillips and Simon Thornewill, 8-3. In his first season, Maravic is tied for the team lead in dual match singles wins (9-4) and overall singles victories (14-8) in 2004-05.
