Czerwinski wins his third career Big Ten Athlete of the Week honor and the second of the 2010 season. The senior had a hand in three Illinois victories last week, including a 7-0 win over Ball State, a 6-1 triumph against Illinois State and a 4-3 decision over No. 34 Wisconsin. Czerwinski appeared at No. 2 singles against the Redbirds and Badgers, and clinched Illini victories against both opponents. First, he defeated Illinois State’s Filip Miljevic, 6-3, 6-3, to cement the Illini’s victory on Friday, then knocked off 13th-ranked Moritz Baumann, 4-6, 7-6 (3), 6-3, to give Illinois its 4-3 victory over the Badgers in Madison on Sunday afternoon.
