Chris Klingemann
JR, Bradenton, Fla./Texas Tech Independent

Klingemann led the Buckeyes to a perfect start in conference competition against Iowa and Minnesota. The league victories propelled Ohio State to its highest spot ever of No. 6 in the latest ITA national rankings. The junior Buckeye collected his third and fourth singles wins at the No. 1 position, improving his overall record to 16-4 this season. Klingemann piloted the Buckeyes' shut-out win over Iowa with a gritty three-set victory against Bart Van Monsjou. He followed that performance with an upset-win over Minnesota's 60th-ranked D.J. Geatz in three sets to clinch OSU's second-straight league win.

In doubles competition, Klingemann claimed two more victories to improve to 17-5 on the year. He teammed with Devin Mullings in No. 3 doubles against the Hawkeyes to beat Christian Bierich and Aaron Schaechterle, 8-4. The OSU tandem moved up to No. 2 doubles against the Gophers and took care of Minnesota's Adrien Debreyne and Raoul Schwark, 8-3. This marks the first selection in Klingemann's career. He is the first Buckeye to claim the weekly honor since Steven Moneke earned the award on March 8.
