Kronauge claims his fifth Big Ten Athlete of the Week honor and second of the 2010 season after leading third-ranked Ohio State to four victories last week, including three over ranked foes. In mid-week matches, Kronauge defeated Stefan Szacinski of No. 41 LSU, 6-4, 6-1, on Tuesday and No. 96 Nate Schnugg of seventh-ranked Georgia, 6-3, 6-2, on Thursday in a pair of 4-2 Ohio State victories. On Sunday, the Buckeyes hosted a doubleheader, first against No. 62 Penn State, where a straight-sets victory, 6-1, 7-6 (7-5), over Ryan Gormley paced Ohio State to a 7-0 win. In Sunday’s nightcap against Cleveland State, the senior lost just two games in a 6-0, 6-2 win over Robert Fox as the Buckeyes won, 4-0, extending their home winning streak to 103. Kronauge is tied for second on Ohio State’s all-time career singles wins list with 132.
