Buchanan clinches his sixth Big Ten Athlete of the Week honor of the 2010 season after winning three singles and three doubles matches last week. Buchanan defeated two ranked opponents, first knocking off No. 29 Casey Watt of Notre Dame, 6-1, 6-1, in a 7-0 win. He also defeated No. 41 Jason Jung of Michigan, 6-2, 7-6 (9-7) in the Buckeyes victory over No. 26 Michigan, 6-1. The sophomore’s third singles win came against Michigan State’s Ronnie Hulewicz, 6-0, 6-2. Buchanan, ranked No. 12 in singles, also teamed with Dino Marcan for three wins in doubles play last week, including a 9-7 win over Michigan’s 33rd-ranked team of George Navas and Mike Sroczynski.
