Big Ten Names Wisconsin's Polley as Men's Tennis Athlete of the Week

Men's Tennis Athlete of the Week Polley finished the weekend with a 4-0 record in conference matches against Iowa and Minnesota to earn this week's honor. Against the Hawkeyes, Polley teamed with Moritz Baumann at No. 1 Doubles to defeat J.P. Ritchie and Bart van Monsjou, 8-6. The senior then went on to post a win at No. 2 Singles over Ritchie, 6-7 (5), 6-3, 6-2. In UW's match against the Gophers, Polley and Baumann teamed together again at No. 1 to earn a victory over Dino Bilankov and Sebastian Gallego. To finish the weekend, the Lexington, Ky., native won his No. 2 Singles match over Tobia Wernet. This is Polley's second career weekly laurel. Last Wisconsin AOW: Nolan Polley (2/27/08)
