PALO ALTO, Calif. - The No. 6 Ohio State men's tennis team beat No. 11 North Carolina 4-0 Saturday at the Taube South Tennis Center on the campus of Stanford University. The win put Ohio State in the quarterfinals of the NCAA tournament for the second time in team history. The Buckeyes will face No. 3 Texas Sunday at 1 p.m. (ET).
Ohio State set a school record for victories in a single season by collecting its 28th win of the year. The Buckeyes, 11-6 in NCAA tournament play all-time, also is on a school-record 19-match win streak.
The 4-0 win vs. UNC was the first time in 30 dual matches this season the Tar Heels (25-5) were shut-out.
