Ohio State's Steven Moneke advanced to the semifinals of the 2009 NCAA Singles Championship after downing fifth-seed Bruno Agostinelli of Kentucky 6-3, 2-6, 6-2, Saturday in a quarterfinal match in College Station, Texas, at Texas A&M's George P. Mitchell Tennis Center. Moneke becomes just the second Buckeye in program history to advance to the semifinals of the singles championship after Ernie Fernandez (1979-82) advanced to the semifinals at the 1980 NCAA Singles Championship.

The ninth-ranked Moneke will take on No. 26th-ranked Sanam Singh of Virginia in the semifinals at 1 p.m. ET Sunday.
